Satellite Receiving Antenna
Satellite receiving antenna, often called big pan, is metal paraboloid, which is responsible for reflecting satellite signal to feed and high-frequency turner at the focal point. Generally, the larger antenna aperture is, the stronger is program signal and the higher is receiving quality. In view of factors of cost and installation, user requires that antenna aperture is as small as possible.
Satellite receiving antenna collects weak signals from satellite and removes noise as far as possible. Most antennas are usually parabolic, some multi-focal antenna are the combination of sphere and paraboloid. Satellite signal is focused on the focal point after reflection of parabolic antenna. A high-quality satellite receiving antenna is characterized by high fabrication precision, corrosion resistance, strong wind resistance, high efficiency, high gain and durability. Satellite receiving antenna can be divided into two categories which are prime focus and offset antenna. Prime focus antenna, called big pan, receives C-band program. Offset antenna, often called small pan, receives Ku-band program.
Satellite antenna type
1 It is center focus satellite antenna. Center focus satellite antenna is prime focus antenna, also called parabolic antenna. However deep, antenna reflector radian is parabolic. Center focusing antenna is featured by perfect round reflector and LNB is located in the central feed of antenna.
2 It is FRP one-body shaped satellite antenna. FRP antenna is made of glass fiber. Tinfoil located in the internal fiber is used as satellite signal reflection. Production process adopts pure hand-made in aspects of mold because antenna has large volume.
3 It is iron antenna with mold stamping. Iron antenna is one of highest usage frequency for personal receiving. It can be divided into three categories which are offset focus one-body antenna, center focus one-body shaped antenna and center focus antenna with more pieces of combination. Iron antenna adopts galvanized steel and mold stamping. It can be mass production, thus the price is cheaper.
4 It is combined SNC satellite antenna. SNC satellite antenna is made of glass fiber. It is shaped by mold heating with a stainless steel wire inside which is used for reflecting satellite signal. SNC antenna is applied for receiving C-band and Ku-band satellite signal. When receiving Ku-band, it should be noticed whether it has fall or it is flat between antenna reflectors at the time of combining each piece of antenna, because a small gap will lead to worse antenna efficiency. SNC satellite antenna is usually applied for cable television system and special communication business.
5 It is polar axis chain antenna. Polar axis antenna, also called synchronous belt antenna, is a set of push system which is composed of 36V DC stepping motor driving change gear and chain. This push system is controlled by positioner which can output 36V that antenna requires and recall satellite site found in the current and future. When antenna moves to other satellite, input satellite code and antenna will move automatically to this satellite.
6 It is single pushrod polar axis antenna. The function and operation mode of single pushrod polar axis antenna is similar to those of chain polar axis antenna. Pushrod antenna is a type of polar axis antenna used by early TVRO. This type of antenna which can receive 2 or 3 satellites is applied for personal receiving in Southeast Asia nowadays.
7 It is elevation azimuth drive antenna. Elevation azimuth drive antenna adopts 1-2 36V elevation stepping motor pushrod and a set of azimuth stepping motor. When antenna changes receiving satellite, elevation and azimuth motor will drive alternately. Thus the track route of antenna is serrated.
8 It is automatic satellite tracking antenna. This type of antenna is widely applied for ocean ships, which is driven by motor which is driven by the servo so that it can keep track of satellite in the process of antenna motion. To accurately calculate the corresponding azimuth, elevation and polarization, there must have an accurate direction indicator. This direction indicator provides accurate data by built-in compass of the antenna or connects external compass via device interface. Then the accurate value is calculated by antenna system. And the system makes antenna position accurately by driving servo driver. This type of antenna is the most complex and the most advanced technology antenna at this time.
9 It is vehicle mounted satellite antenna. The first domestic vehicle mounted satellite receiving antenna has characteristics of small size, higher gain, light weight, strong stability and anti-dithering. The antenna can stably receive over the rough road of 200km/h. The critical component is imported from Korea factory. The antenna with cheap price and high cost performance is applied for all ground vehicles, which makes it possible to receive satellite television.
